Recommendations are issued throughout the year rather than through a points pool.
The employer must be designated and the job offer must meet federal and community requirements.
The community may apply occupation or employer caps when managing its allocation.
A complete application remains essential because availability can change as allocations are used.

Confirm that the employer, sector and occupation are eligible under the current Altona/Rhineland priorities.

The RCIP is employer-led. The designated employer prepares and submits the community recommendation package.

Because recommendations are issued first come, first served, timing and document completeness are important.

An approved applicant receives a recommendation certificate and can then apply to IRCC for permanent residence.

Check the current designated-employer list before accepting an offer.

Confirm whether the occupation has an employer or allocation cap.

Keep language tests, status documents and educational assessments valid through submission.

Community recommendation does not guarantee permanent residence. IRCC makes the final decision, and community intake rules can change without notice.
