Canada runs dozens of immigration pathways, and almost every one uses its own eligibility test and points system. The federal Express Entry pool ranks candidates with the Comprehensive Ranking System, while the Federal Skilled Worker Program uses a separate 67-point eligibility grid, language results are measured in Canadian Language Benchmarks, citizenship depends on a physical-presence calculation, and each province and RCIP community publishes its own scoring grid on top of all of that. People researching their options often find these systems blended together on other sites, which produces numbers that do not match how the government actually assesses a file. CheckMyCRS was built to keep each system separate and accurate, and to explain, in ordinary language, what each score means and where every point comes from.

How our content is created and reviewed
Calculator logic is built from the eligibility criteria and points tables published by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and by the relevant provincial or community authority. The written explanations are original work produced for this site rather than copied from official pages, and each tool links directly to the government source it is based on so you can confirm the current rules yourself. Immigration programs change often, so we review calculator logic and guidance when program information is updated and mark forecast content clearly as estimates. We deliberately avoid invented statistics and unverifiable claims.
Accuracy and limitations
CheckMyCRS is an educational research tool, not a substitute for professional advice. Results are estimates based on the information you enter and the published rules at the time of writing. They do not guarantee eligibility, an invitation to apply, a nomination or any immigration outcome. Before making decisions about tests, documents, fees or applications, you should confirm the current requirements on the official government source and, where appropriate, consult a licensed immigration professional.

It does not make eligibility decisions, collect application fees, or submit applications on anyone’s behalf.
