No. Fifty points is the minimum to enter the pool. Higher-scoring candidates are considered first and community allocations remain limited.
Understanding the North Okanagan–Shuswap scoring process
This calculator is designed around how North Okanagan–Shuswap ranks candidates rather than around the federal CRS. A qualifying job offer remains essential, but local employment history, community connections and the wage attached to the offer can change how competitive an application appears.
The community gives priority-sector eligibility precedence over occupation alone. A priority NOC does not rescue an offer from an employer operating outside a priority sector, so candidates should confirm both the employer’s sector and the occupation before relying on the score.
